Amavasya Healing Seva: Nourish, Protect and Treat Gau Mata

Join Jeevandaan Foundation in providing nutritious fodder, clean water, medical treatment and compassionate care to hungry, sick, injured and abandoned cows on every Amavasya.

Make Every Amavasya a Day of Compassion

Amavasya holds deep spiritual importance in Indian tradition. It is considered a meaningful occasion for prayer, remembrance, charity and acts of kindness. Many devotees choose this sacred day to honour their ancestors and serve living beings in need. Among the most compassionate acts performed on Amavasya is Gau Seva—the service and protection of cows.

Through its Regular Amavasya Gau Seva campaign, Jeevandaan Foundation provides essential support to cows that are hungry, weak, ill, injured or abandoned. Your contribution can help arrange green fodder, dry feed, clean drinking water, medicines, veterinary assistance and safe care for Gau Mata throughout the year.

The Silent Struggle of Abandoned Cows

Many cows are forced to survive on roads, near garbage dumping areas or in unsafe surroundings. In search of food, they may consume plastic and harmful waste. Some suffer from infections, untreated wounds, weakness, dehydration or accidents. Without timely care, even a minor health problem can become serious and painful.

These helpless animals cannot ask for food or explain their suffering. They depend on compassionate people who are willing to notice their pain and become their support. A simple act of donation can provide them with a nutritious meal, a medical check-up, necessary treatment and a safe place to recover.

How Jeevandaan Foundation Helps Gau Mata

Jeevandaan Foundation works to make Gau Seva regular, responsible and meaningful. Donations received through this campaign are used to support different needs of cows, including:

• Nutritious Fodder: Green grass, dry fodder and balanced feed for hungry and weak cows.

• Clean Drinking Water: Regular access to fresh water, especially during hot weather.

• Medical Treatment: Medicines, veterinary consultations, wound care and emergency support.

• Safe Shelter and Care: Protection, cleanliness, observation and compassionate attention during recovery.

Why Regular Gau Seva Matters

Feeding a cow once provides immediate relief, but regular support creates lasting change. Cows require food, water and care every day. Sick and injured cows may also need several days or weeks of treatment. Regular Amavasya donations help Jeevandaan Foundation plan resources, continue medical care and ensure that no animal is left without support due to a shortage of funds.

Every donation, whether small or large, contributes to a larger mission of compassion. Your help can fill an empty feeding bowl, purchase medicine, support veterinary treatment or provide comfort to a cow recovering from pain.

Offer Your Seva in Honour of Your Loved Ones

You may dedicate your Amavasya Gau Seva in memory of your ancestors, in honour of your family or as a prayer for peace and well-being. The true value of seva lies in the relief it brings to a suffering life. When you feed and protect a helpless animal, your compassion becomes a source of hope.

Become a Support for Gau Mata

This Amavasya, help Jeevandaan Foundation provide fodder, water, treatment and protection to cows in need. Your compassionate contribution can reduce their suffering and give them a healthier, safer life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Jeevan Daan Foundation, conducted by Satvikdaan Charitable Trust Foundation, was founded in 2023 after a heartbreaking loss—a close friend who couldn’t afford cancer treatment. That personal tragedy became our purpose. A group of social workers with 7+ years of ground-level seva united to ensure no one is lost to neglect, hunger, or helplessness. What began with small acts has grown into a movement of compassion.

We work where the need is—slums, schools, and vulnerable neighbourhoods. Support ranges from food packets and ration kits to school supplies and vocational tools. We start with whatever we have, mobilise caring people, and deliver practical help that restores dignity and hope.

Every donation is personal to us. Funds are directed to real, time-bound needs—nutrition, basic medical help, education materials, and livelihood support like vocational tools. We aim to share simple impact updates and stories so you can see how your kindness becomes relief on the ground.

You can donate to an active campaign, volunteer your time/skills, sponsor kits (meals, education, hygiene), or start a peer-to-peer fundraiser. If you’d like to collaborate as an individual, group, or organisation, just reach out—this is a people-powered effort.

A receipt is issued for every donation. If a campaign is eligible for tax benefits, it will be clearly mentioned on the campaign page and in the receipt details. For any documentation you need, please contact us and we’ll assist you.
